5. Never to be complicit in human rights abuses. To ensure that all advice to clients is examined for potential impact on human rights.
6. To understand the confidential nature of the work we perform, never to disclose any information to any unauthorized party and all EastTrust documentation and client documents entrusted to EastTrust must be handled securely and remain confidential.
7. Never to reveal the identity of any client and not give references without the prior agreement of the client concerned.
8. To understand that our actions are a reflection on our client and to make sure our actions always reflect positively on the client.
9. To refuse to work any research which would interfere or subvert any legitimate law enforcement activity and to cooperate unhesitatingly with law enforcement agencies as required.
10. To prepare accurate and unbiased reports in a prompt manner.
11. To work not for reward or bounty, but to charge a fee based upon an honest effort rather than upon a favorable result.
