Employment Screening
According to a recent survey by an authoritative institute, 53% of all resumes, curricula vitae and applications contain some form of embellishment or outright fraudulent statements. The repercussions from such fraud can range from embarrassment for the company, to the beginning of serious internal or external problems. EastTrust has been helping companies conduct comprehensive employment screening for about seven years. Based on the resume or biographical data provided by the applicant, checked elements tailored to clients' needs will include the follows:

  • Civil litigation history and criminal history record, verification of identity card number, Hukou (registered permanent residence) address, current and previous residence addresses, names and so on;
  • Educational background, including verification of attendance, periods of enrollment, degree/diploma awarded, graduation date, major course of study and so on;
  • Employment background, including job title, salary, dates of employment, reason for leaving and eligibility for rehire. Verification can also include performance evaluations results;
  • Pprofessional backguound, including verification of professional credentials and/or licenses listed on the application and that are issued by the organization;
  • Reference check, including to contact and interview all listed references to obtain personal subjective information about the applicant. This information may include character traits or habits, strengths and weaknesses, and so on.

Executive Screening
EastTrust's Executive Screening (EES) can effectively protect your company and your clients from potential management crisis. Unlike a "standard" employee background check, EES considers the serious risks and exposures executives can pose for a company and its shareholders. Based on the biographical data provided by clients, added key elements of reports will include credit history, reputation, how to be rich, political and business relationship and so on.

Vendor Screening

Developing a relationship with an unscrupulous, ethically challenged or criminally motivated vendor/customer could have serious ramifications to a company's public image and financial stability. Vendor screening is an in-depth due diligence program developed to assist clients to qualify prospective vendors, independent contractors, customers, and others. This program helps our clients ensure that vendors meet certain minimum corporate standards relating to licensing, insurance, compliance, and other minimally acceptable personal and corporate standards. The program also helps minimize potential losses from vendor-related fraud and other vendor issues.
